Hello, I am Ash-Kara, the face behind Ash-Kara's Custom Cakes. Baking has always been a passion of mine from a very young age and I first baked without adult supervision at age 9. It was a courgette cake and it was delicious.
For the past few years, I have developed my own unique recipes adapted to suit different dietary requirements. It has been a passion of mine for several years due to family members with severe allergies. One relation of mine cannot go into town as they are allergic to the limonene in the cleaning products used in shops, this has been worsened since the outbreak of covid.
It is a great belief of mine that everyone should be able to enjoy a slice of cake no matter what their circumstances are. Cake is not just a food that is expected to be there, it’s a form of language. We console our loved ones, we celebrate with our loved ones, we show appreciation, share surprises, express love, engage in merriment, all with cake.
It doesn’t matter what the event is, there is always a spot at the table for a cake.
Cake should be a necessity, not a luxury.
