The Gift of Life

There is nothing more rewarding than the smile of a happy child.

What do you consider to be a necessity in life?

Personally, I wouldn't want to live without my washing machine or electric shower, what about you? Here in the developed world we only have to walk a few metres into the kitchen to get clean accessible water from the tap, whenever we want to. It is always there on demand. Now imagine you had to walk 5 miles to a communal well and collect a jerry can full of dirty water that you then have to carry all the way back home. How often would you be willing to do this? Then, after all that walking, you're going to be thirsty, but wait, you have to boil the water before you can drink it and it will still be dirty. Does this sound ideal?

How about food? We take this for granted too, though more of us are finding it difficult to manage our food budgets, with the rising cost of living we are experiencing in the UK and many of us turning to Foodbanks to get by. We are, as a population, now aiming to waste less and plan more economically friendly which is wonderful. I still question why junk food is a lot cheaper than healthy food. The answer is simple: it's not food! To be healthy we need fresh sustainable food that is planned to avoid wastage. Sounds simple but it doesn't feel simple, do you agree? And we are the lucky ones.

Hope For Children Ministry

Hope For Children Ministry is one of many orphanages found across Africa. This orphanage in particular is in Mityana, Uganda. They have 3 staff with 25 children aged 1 to 15 years.

One of the biggest challenges of our day is a growing number of orphaned children. They are orphaned because of civil wars, diseases and poverty. Uganda has been and still holds the biggest orphan population per capita of any nation across the world. Quite obviously, with the background they endure, the number of orphans will only increase.

The calling of Hope For Children Ministry Uganda is to find ways of bringing fairness to hundreds of children who go without food daily, without a place to call home, and without education.

Founded in 2017, Hope For Children Ministry has become an integral part of their local community, supporting and caring for these children so they may have a brighter future.

Foundation in Firm Christian Beliefs

When we put our faith in God, all things are possible.

At Hope for Children Ministries is a strong Christian foundation. Whether you're religious or not, such ministry is very important, teaching us how to treat one another and to take responsibility for our actions. These are two very important lessons we much instil in all our children, no matter what background they are from.

I and my family are Christian and believe passionately in Christian values. It is my mission also, to get funds to this orphanage so the children may have food, clean water, and education. Together we can make a difference and give these children back the bright future they deserve.
