There are many parts of life we consider normal and necessary here in the developed world. We go to work, we go to school, we pay our rent and our bills. What would it be like if we had none of those things? What could your children expect in life if they were not able to access education? What would you be doing for work if you had not been able to access education? How would you provide food, water and shelter for yourself and your family, if you could not access a stable income; albeit from work or state benefits. I shudder to think what our nation would be like if we didn't have our beloved NHS.
Hope For Children Ministry (Uganda) is a registered orphanage located in Mityana. It is home to 25 children who are cared for by 3 adults. Everyday is a struggle for them to find food and water. The children yearn for education but instead spend their days walking far to gather water that is too dirty drink while their care providers find food and clothing for them. I would like to add that they do not have a NHS and medical bills are costly.
They rely on the kindness of others to help with costs and this appears to be few and far between. You can change this. If everyone could give just 50p per month they would have enough to properly feed, water, and clothe all the children and send them to school. They could grow healthy and strong and able to create self-sustaining lives for themselves. Join me in donating whatever you can afford to spare each month and give them hope for a brighter future.
